We have been designing, manufacturing and restoring chandeliers, pendants, wall lights, lanterns, table lamps and other unique lighting products in London for more than 130 years. Bespoke lighting made by our highly skilled team can be seen in hotels, luxury yachts, restaurants, private homes, commercial and public buildings all over the world.
We believe that design and manufacture are intrinsically linked and that you can’t have one without the other. So, at Dernier & Hamlyn, we always make sure these essential functions are seamlessly integrated.
Dernier & Hamlyn’s team is committed to each project from concept to installation and this gives us the opportunity to see our products through to the end of the journey. We see installation, whether it be dressing chandeliers or hanging pendants, as a vital service for our clients.
At Dernier & Hamlyn, we do more than design and manufacture bespoke lighting. In recent years, we’ve developed an outstanding reputation for our work in restoring some of the most important and architecturally significant light fittings in palaces, cathedrals and other public buildings.
At Dernier & Hamlyn, we’re often asked to what our greatest challenge is. We’d probably say improving on history – and it’s a challenge we relish. Recreating heritage designs for modern lighting technology is a large and important part of our work these days. We’re also tasked with reproducing original designs – a painstaking process – or creating new fittings that are in keeping with a building’s heritage.
